Our kids are living in a world where truth is becoming more and more diluted and the Bible is viewed as mythology or at best, a book of virtues, taught with the same reverence as classic literature. So what is the difference between the Odyssey and the Book of Acts? The Epic of Gilgamesh and the story of Noah? Jesus and King Arthur?
How can kids learn to distinguish facts from fantasies and truth from myth?
Facts and Fictions is a 4 day original experience for kids ages 5-12 that you will only find at Highline Community Church. Kids will learn all about what sets the Bible apart from any other book in the world and what makes it undebatable, historical fact.
4 Days of Discovery
Day 1 We will look at how we got the Bible—the historical documents that validate its authenticity and the pain-staking process of making copies of the letters and scrolls from generation to generation.
Day 2 We learn how the Bible came together and the process of selecting the 66 books that make up the Bible we have today. We will also learn about innovations like movable type that made the Bible the most printed book in the history of the world.
Day 3 We look at what scripture is used for: Teaching Rebuking Training and Correcting.
Day 4 We learn the most important lesson of all…that every book of the Bible points to Jesus.
What To Expect
An interactive, hands-on environment where they will experience the Bible with their peers. Each day will last about 2 1/2 hours and include games, activities, snack and a lesson that helps your child understand the Bible in a concrete way.
Cost is $10

Volunteer
If you have your mornings free and would like to make a major impact in the life of a child, consider volunteering for VBS. Volunteers need to be at church between 8:30 and 9AM and will serve until 12PM. We have a variety of roles from serving alongside kids to support roles like media and snack preparation.
Even if you are not available every day of VBS, we can still use your help.
All volunteers need to complete a brief application by clicking the link below and pass a background check.
