About Highline

Meet Our Staff

Church is about people, not programs. Our pastors and staff serve alongside a community of leaders and volunteers who help Highline live out its mission.

Brian Gawf

Brian’s greatest passion is helping people discover Jesus and the life-changing wonder of the gospel of grace. He loves making Scripture understandable and relevant to everyday life and helping build a church where people can be themselves, ask honest questions, and grow together as followers of Jesus.

He earned his Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, and has pursued additional theological studies at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He also helps train church planters in South Sudan and Ethiopia.

Brian and his wife, Lenore, have a son, Thomas, and daughter-in-law, Katie, who live in Seattle. At home, they’re kept company by three German Shepherds and one very outnumbered Yorkie. Brian loves traveling and exploring new places, especially hiking, camping, skiing, and off-roading in the Colorado Rockies. He also enjoys good books, movies, and experimenting with his grill.
